INTERLIGHT SMART CITY & HOME, the 2026 Moscow International Lighting Fair – International Lighting Fixtures and Technology Exhibition, is supported by Light+Building, the world's leading brand lighting exhibition. It is the largest professional lighting exhibition in Russia and the CIS region. With its comprehensive planning and unique concept, the show offers an all-around, one-stop platform for showcasing products related to the lighting and construction industries. Since its founding, the exhibition has been successfully held 27 times and has maintained a consistent upward trend. In 2025, the exhibition drew over 433 exhibiting companies from more than 24 countries, with exhibitor satisfaction seeing significant improvement. Statistics show that visitor numbers reached 23,975.
Russia is the largest country in the world by land area, with 98% of its LED products relying on imports, making the market rich in potential and business opportunities. In recent years, the introduction of government policies related to energy conservation and sustainable development has paved the way for the promotion of energy-saving lighting technology across various industries. In addition, the continuous increase in new and renovated construction projects, along with the hosting of major events (such as the 2018 World Cup), has driven growing demand for building automation, bringing enormous business opportunities for enterprises.
According to reports, the number of lighting fixture manufacturers currently based in Russia is relatively small, with comparatively low production capacity. The technological development and style trends of domestic products fall far short of meeting current market demand in Russia, which has also prompted the rapid removal of import quotas for this category of products. In the Russian lighting fixture market, the vast majority of high-quality and innovative lighting solutions are imported products, and as the government's energy-saving initiatives continue to advance, market acceptance of energy-efficient lighting products is also steadily increasing.
